Cat Drama, Continued

July 11, 2020

Basil Cowper started limping.

Yes, we’re off to the vet, then. The lovely vet that is so good with cats has relocated back home out west in the middle of a pandemic because her father has a brain tumor. That scenario makes my cat drama look nonexistent.

Bazzy in The Treehouse protecting his left paw.

The vet couldn’t find any abscess even though I thought I felt swelling at that shoulder. Basil had a low grade temp so the vet treated it with an antibiotic injection. We started crate rest.

I’m driving home from work, driving along my little road, and I see an orange cat rolling around in the tall grasses at the roadside near my mailbox, because I don’t mow, like he was scratching his back and enjoying the day. I wondered what The Butter was doing rolling about. When he saw my car, he stopped and headed into the woods. It wasn’t The Butter or Georgia, and Basil was on crate rest.

Jersey is locked away, and what if he isn’t the culprit?

What if it’s this guy that I saw in February?

He is freakishly large, with a face like a fully made-up character in Cats. I saw him in February and never again. Unless, that was he marking territory by rolling in the tall grass.

Annnd a new cat has shown up at work…

I’ve started a new genealogy project for the Past Conflicts Repatriation Branch. You can check it out here: Click here.

Apparently I cannot have enough projects.
