She was my mother’s mother, and I am one of her namesakes.  Happy New Year, Grandma!

There was a story that my BigBroBob uncovered. She was engaged to be married to a man who, turned out, had a pregnant girlfriend. And that was the end of the engagement. Lucky for me!

It appears her tresses might reach way down below her posterior. Am I seeing correctly, or is that a shawl, or some object in the background? At any rate, her hair was beautiful at that stage of her life. So fitting for a pretty woman.

I can’t tell how long her hair really was in the picture. I have often thought that it was a shawl, but yesterday I decided that her hair went below her knees. What a mane!

Sweet and lovely for sure. Also maker of yummo oatmeal cookies, goulash, canned green beans and peaches, what she called “country fried potatoes” (with onion in the cast iron skillet), and last but CERTAINLY not least, the best tamales you could get on this side of heaven. We heart Grandma Packett! P.S. I did love the tidbit Bob uncovered about the broken engagement.
