Christmas at Grandma’s, 1958

Dad Gordon, Mom Etta, Son Jim, & Daughter Gordie

This picture was taken at Grandma Packett’s in December 1958.  I would have been a little older than two years old.  Etta and my mother were sisters.

Etta had polio as a child, and all my memories are of her walking carefully, limping, and in later years using a cane, walker, then wheelchair.  They lived close by and were wonderful relatives.  Etta and Gordon have passed on, but their children have children who in turn have children, and their memory lives on.
