The nearest neighbor has two cats. In the interest of fairness, he has named them John McCain and Barack Obama. John is more reclusive, and I was surprised when he allowed me to take his picture. He usually runs from me, even though I’ve never charged him for eating at my restaurant.
Both the cats wear special collars for nighttime formal wear. These collars are made of reflective material. They don’t wear any kind of identification otherwise. It’s like their special uniform for wearing in the ‘hood. They generally stay close to their home, except when they come to visit the cat station.
In the above photo, Mr. McCain demonstrates the use of the openings in the fence surrounding the feeding station.
Above, Mr. Obama illustrates his preference for strolling along the roadside. Notice he doesn’t go in the road like Wilbur, and he walks facing traffic.
When it’s time to leave, it’s time to leave.
