Georgia at work

Georgia at work

I have discovered that Georgia is a curious cat.  One Friday evening she was not there when I got home from work.  I looked everywhere, in the shed, in the RV, at the cat station.  No Georgia.  I asked people walking along Resurrection Road if they had seen a nice orange cat.  No one had.
The next evening, after giving her up for lost, I was outside on my way to feed the cats.  She came running along the kitty cat highway, ran up the driveway, and shimmied under the gate, yowling and meowing the whole way, like she was telling me about her wild night out.  She must have gone to the kitty-cat club down the road.
She slept the rest of the weekend.

Georgia Yawns

My Grandma, what big teeth you have...

My, Grandma, what big teeth you have...

Georgia loves to be in the middle of things.  Like a bed.  Or a path.  Or a food bowl.  Once I was sitting in a chair in the yard, and Georgia came walking along and chose to use me as part of her pathway.  She bounded right into my lap and kept going.  A little bit disconcerting for me, but then I was not the important one in the movie of her life starring Georgia.
Two weeks ago, I would wake up in the middle of the night and Georgia was asleep in the bed next to me.  But I had left her out when I went to bed.  Again, disconcerting.  I would put her out and she would reappear a few hours later.  This happened for several nights in a row.  It was like a bad movie that would not end.  Then one evening I was sitting in the living area and Georgia appeared from behind the passenger chair in the driver’s compartment.  I put her out and later she came crawling out from under the built-in couch next to the kitchen floor cabinets.  When I looked behind the couch, I saw an opening at the base of the cabinet that led to an outside compartment.  So I went outside and discovered that the compartment’s door was open.  (Note to self to insulate that compartment before winter.)  I locked the door back and no more night-time visitors appeared.
The next night I heard a thump on the side of the RV in the general area of the compartment door.  Georgia had tried to jump into the compartment again, not knowing the door was closed, and instead whacked the side of the RV.  I wish I could have seen the look on her face.
Most kids try to sneak out of the house.  Georgia tries to sneak in.
Georgia plans her movie of her life.

Georgia plans her movie of her life.

Who will play Georgia in the movie of her life?  Meryl Streep, Debra Messing, Lassie??  Who, who, who will it be??
